Civics at Sea was founded in 2025 with a simple but powerful conviction: that civic knowledge—understanding how governments work, how economies function, how history shapes the present—is one of the most important things an adult can possess.
And yet, for most of us, that education ended the moment we left school. Civics at Sea exists to change that—by pairing world-class travel with expert-led instruction in a way that's genuinely engaging, deeply memorable, and transformative.
We are especially passionate about group cruises as a learning format. There's something irreplaceable about a small group of curious minds, gathered in a salon at sea, debating policy while the port of Athens glows outside the window.
